Background
Established in 2002, Valley Sleep Center has quickly become a leader in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders in Arizona by providing complete sleep health management for their clients. Accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, Valley Sleep Center is staffed by Board Certified Sleep Physicians specializing in a variety of sleep-related disorders including insomnia, sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome, hypertension, PLMS and pediatric sleep problems. They have made it their mission to deliver excellent patient care and continue to be the foremost independent sleep diagnostic testing facility serving the Arizona community.
Challenge
With 5 locations across the Greater Phoenix Metropolitan Area, Valley Sleep Center had outgrown their servers which were no longer providing the needed support. “We had started the process of looking for a cloud provider as we didn’t like having all of our eggs in one basket,” said Gerald Fougner, Director of Technical Services of Valley Sleep Center. “We were not getting optimal productivity from our servers and our disaster recovery plan needed fine tuning.”
However, when they began researching a cloud provider, they had trouble finding a good fit. According to Fougner, “We needed our cloud provider to offer some customization to fit our needs but found many providers were not willing to make the cloud migration work without nickel and diming us along the way.”
